1. How did you find out about CVSC?
Another member told me to come to a Saturday class with her rather than driving an hour to another gym.
2. What is your favorite exercise or workout?
I really like workouts that combine calories and lifting heavy. I also really like workouts that are a certain number of rounds for time! I like the opportunity to challenge speed and strength.
3. How long have you been a member at CVSC?
Since August 2022!
4. What do you do for a living?
I'm getting my PhD at USU right now and that is my primary work currently.
5. What are your hobbies?
I love to hike (snow, rain, sun doesn't matter) and I find a lot of joy in being able to be in the mountains on the weekend. I love to ski and through the gym I've found skiing buddies! I also have taught spin for about 8 years and I got certified to teach High Fitness in summer 2023. I love getting a good cardio workout in between strength training.
6. What are your goals?
My goal is to feel like my body is strong and feels good. I like to be able to go into each day fueling my body in a way that makes it feel good and building strength in a way that makes my body feel good.
7. Why do you train?
I train for a mental and physical release! I love coming to CVSC because I walk in the door and I get to dedicate an hour to moving my body.
8. Any advice for future members?
It might be really intimidating to start, that's totally ok! But the community here is so supportive of whatever your goals are rather than being competitive. That's what's so special about CVSC!
