1. How did you find out about CVSC?
I don't remember how I first found out about CVSC, but it was back when they first opened their doors 15 years ago.
2. What is your favorite exercise or workout?
My favorite workouts are EMOMS or X minutes on, X minutes off. I like it when I can push myself to my max because I know I have a rest coming.
3. How long have you been a member at CVSC?
I came for a couple of years back when CVSC first opened, then I stopped coming for YEARS. I most recently started up again in October of 2019, and have been coming regularly ever since!
4. What do you do for a living?
I am super lucky and get to be a stay-at-home Mom, and I do the books for our construction company. I feel beyond blessed that I can help run our company and still have the flexibility to raise my family!!
5. What are your hobbies?
Does running kids around to different sports/activities count?? When I do manage to find some free time, I love to do anything outdoors (hike, bike, snowshoe, run). I also enjoy whenever I have a chance to use my creative side and create something beautiful. This isn't necessarily a hobby, but I am currently obsessed with listening to health/nutrition/fitness/self development podcasts. I almost always have one playing, and I enjoy listening to different people's opinions and finding new things to incorporate into my life to have a happy/healthier life.
6. What are your goals?
I recently completed 75 hard and lost some weight, so right now my current goal is to focus on getting stronger and gaining muscle so I can "tone/tighten" up. My long term goal is just to continue to find ways to improve mine and my family's health/quality of life.
7. Why do you train?
I train for a few different reasons. 1- I train to stay healthy, 2- I train so I can feel better mentally and physically, 3- I train because I love the atmosphere/people at CVSC and it's always one of the best parts of my day, and 4- I train so I can be a positive example to my kids.
8. Any advice for future members?
One thing I would say is stay consistent and make the time to take care of yourself. Life is busy and it can feel like you have so many things going on that you don't have the time to go to the gym. Everything in your life will benefit if you take the time to take care of yourself first. Also, I've come to realize how important nutrition is. I've noticed the biggest gains and the most progress at the gym when I am focused on getting the right nutrition.
